This is a great recipe. You can use any meat you like or keep it vegetarian if you want
Ingredients
1 onion – sliced
1 carrot – diced
2 cups shredded Chinese cabbage
1 handful oyster mushrooms – any other Japanese mushroom works too
200f thinly sliced beef – you can substitute this for pork, chicken or seafood. You can also just leave it out for vegetarian
2 packets udon
2 tablespoons mentsuyu
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Method:
- slice all the veggies and cook the udon in boiling water – cook only until the noodles come apart and then drain strait away so they aren’t too soft
- In a wok, heat up some oil and fry up the cabbage, onion, carrot and mushrooms
- Add in beef and cook until browned
- add in soy, mentsuyu and udon
- Mix well and cook until the sauce has been absorbed
- Serve
