This recipe is great for any sort of chicken – drumsticks, wings, breast, thigh etc. I’m using chicken thigh and breast pieces below but anything works
Ingredients:
500g of chicken – I used thigh and breast here
1/2 cup maple syrup
4 tablespoons soy sauce
1 lemon (or 3 tablespoons lemon juice)
4 cloves garlic – crushed
salt and pepper
Method:
- In a bowl, mix maple syrup, soy and garlic cloves. Squeeze lemon juice in also. Mix well
- Pat dry the chicken with paper towel and cut into pieces
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper
- Using a bowl or zip lock bag, cover the chicken with the marinade and leave it in the fridge overnight
- Heat up a pan or BBQ and toss chicken on and cook through
- Serve
