Ham and cheese scrolls

Ingredients – dough:
3/4 cup milk
2.5 teaspoons yeast
1/4 cup caster sugar
1 egg+1 extra yolk
75g unsalted butter, melted
3 cups bread flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
Filling:
– ham or bacon
– Cheese
– Olive oil

Method:

  1. Follow steps 1-6 from the cinnamon rolls recipe
  2. Sprinkle generously with cheese and ham/bacon. Cover with olive oil
  3. Roll it up and cut it into scrolls
  4. Place rolls into a lined/greased baking tray and allow it to rest for 45 minutes and turn on the oven to 175degrees to allow it to preheat. Dough should expand again
  5. Bake for 25 mins until edges are golden
