Chinese Style Beef

Ingredients

Soy sauce
White sugar
corn starch
1/2 onion – sliced
250 grams beef steak – cut into strips or thin pieces
3 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire
1 tablespoon white (or raw) sugar
1 tea spoon soy sauce
5 tablespoons of water
corn starch
salt

Method:

  1. Marinade the beef with soy sauce, sugar and corn starch – Just enough so the beef is covered
  2. In a bowl, Make the sauce – 3 tablespoons ketchup, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tea spoon soy sauce, 5 tablespoons of water, corn starch and salt

  3. In a pan, heat a bit of oil and fry the beef til just browned

  4. Remove beef from heat, in the same pan, cook the onions

  5. Once soft, Put in the sauce

  6. Put in the beef and mix well into the sauce

  7. Serve with rice
