Lamb Kofta with cucumber yoghurt

Ingredients:

400g lamb mince
1 onion
1/8 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1 egg
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 cup greek yoghurt
1/2 cucumber – coarsely grated
2 cloves garlic – minced

Method:

  1. In a bowl, mix grated cucumber, greek yoghurt and minced garlic in a bowl. Place in the fridge while you make the lamb

  2. Preheat the BBQ or grillĀ on low heat
  3. in a food processor, put in onion and finely dice

  4. Add in lamb, egg, cumin and cinnamon and mix well.

  5. Add in bread crumbs and mix

  6. Roll the lamb mince into 3-4cm balls

  7. Place the balls onto heated grill/BBQ and cook for 4-5 minutes then turn once and cook for another 4 minutes

  8. Serve immediately with cucumber yogurt and Persian rice
